Hound Kings – Puppy Adoption Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) outline the responsibilities of both Hound Kings (“Breeder”) and the Adopter (“Buyer”) when adopting a puppy. By placing a deposit or taking possession of a puppy, the Buyer agrees to the following:

1. Deposits & Reservations

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy. This deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.
Puppies are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis once deposits are received.
If the chosen puppy becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, accident, or other reasons), the Buyer may transfer the deposit to another available puppy or future litter.

2. Payment

The balance must be paid in full one (1) week prior to the scheduled pickup or delivery date.
Accepted payment methods: [insert methods you accept, e.g., cash, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal Friends & Family, etc.].
Failure to complete payment by the deadline may result in forfeiture of the deposit and puppy reservation.

3. Health Guarantee

All puppies are sold as companions only, unless otherwise stated in writing.
Puppies will be up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming at the time of transfer.
The Buyer is required to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup for a wellness exam.
If the veterinarian finds a life-threatening genetic condition within this period, the Buyer may return the puppy with a written diagnosis for a replacement puppy of equal value (no refunds).

4. Buyer’s Responsibilities

The Buyer agrees to provide proper nutrition, fresh water, shelter, socialization, and regular veterinary care for the puppy.
The puppy shall not be kept in a kennel or cage for extended periods of time.
The puppy shall not be resold to pet stores, research facilities, or puppy mills under any circumstance.
If the Buyer can no longer care for the puppy, Hound Kings must be contacted first and given the opportunity to take the puppy back or assist in rehoming.

5. Breeder’s Rights

Hound Kings reserves the right to refuse or cancel a sale at any time if it is determined that a puppy’s welfare may be at risk.
In such cases, deposits will be refunded in full.

6. No Guarantees on Size, Color, or Temperament

While we strive to provide accurate information about our puppies and bloodlines, we cannot guarantee final size, color, markings, or temperament as these may vary naturally.

7. Agreement Binding

By signing below or submitting payment, the Buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Return and Refund Policy

At Hound Kings, our puppies are raised as family, and we take pride in ensuring they are placed in loving, permanent homes. Because of this, all sales are considered final. The following outlines our return and refund policy:

1. Deposits

All deposits made to reserve a puppy are non-refundable.
Deposits may, however, be transferred to another available puppy or applied toward a future litter if the originally chosen puppy becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

2. Final Payment

The full balance must be paid no later than one (1) week prior to pickup or delivery.
Failure to complete payment may result in loss of reservation and forfeiture of the deposit.
Once the puppy has been paid in full and transferred to the Buyer, no refunds will be issued.

3. Returns

If at any point the Buyer is unable to keep or care for the puppy, Hound Kings must be contacted first.
We will assist in rehoming or, if possible, accept the puppy back.
No monetary refund will be issued for returned puppies, regardless of age.

4. Health-Related Refunds

Puppies leave Hound Kings healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, and dewormed.
The Buyer is required to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the puppy.
If the veterinarian diagnoses a life-threatening genetic condition within this period, the Buyer may return the puppy with a written statement from the veterinarian.
In such cases, the Buyer will be offered a replacement puppy of equal value from the next available litter. No cash refunds will be given.

5. Buyer’s Responsibilities

Hound Kings is not responsible for accidents, illnesses, or conditions caused by negligence, injury, exposure, or lack of proper care after the puppy leaves our home.
Refunds or replacements will not be provided for issues resulting from improper diet, failure to provide vet care, or preventable accidents.

6. Agreement Binding

By placing a deposit, making payment, or taking possession of a puppy, the Buyer acknowledges and agrees to this Return & Refund Policy.
